Aura

Aura is a photo study on Wanchai: Hong Kong’s infamous red-light district.  More than being a study of the place, Aura is a meditation on the ambiguity of identity.  Ambiguity of Wanchai’s identity as a district, which is a cornucopia of brothels, strip-bars, restaurants, and high-end commercial and residential buildings but also ambiguity of the identity of those who live, work and play there.
